I chose Dr. Birch on the recommendation of a friend. After our first meeting and looking over my X-Rays , Dr. Birch throughly explained in words and by use of a model just what would lie ahead if I chose to go ahead with 2 knee replacement surgeries. Knowledge and anxiety aside I decided to take the long lingering step to achieve a better future and basically getting back to a sense of normalcy. It has not been a easy journey but I’m glad I took those first steps. Obviously there are many options for all of us but I would not hesitate to recommend Dr.
Birch. I am very thankful. ❤️

Very professional group. From the first meeting and consultation through surgery and post ops, all details are explained. Time is taken too make sure all questions are answered and explained. Would highly recommend if you need any type of knee replacement.

Dr. Birch is an excellent and caring surgeon. He is easy to talk to, makes you feel comfortable and takes time with his patients. His PA, Anne is awesome as well, and she too is caring and attentive. I am glad I chose Dr. Birch for my two partial knee surgeries. It is nice not to have to travel to Santa Barbara for all the pre and post op appointments. Alta Orthopedics is well run, and everything you need for surgery is taken care of by their excellent staff. Phone calls and email messages are returned promptly. (Early morning appointments are the best as the Solvang office is always very busy)

On our first visit with Dr. Haggerty, my husband, a retired physician, was very impressed with her. She listened to my problems with pain in my foot/ankle which have existed for almost two years. She has tried several things to help me to no avail. She has not given up on me yet. She is a very well trained physician with much experience in orthopedics. I highly recommend Dr.Haggerty to patients at Alta Orthopaedics. She is also very sweet and gentle.

Dr Asher Kupperman is a very fine Dr, and surgeon. He has performed 3 hand surgeries for me and all of them have turned out well. He is also very good on the follow up visit to Make sure all is going well with the recovery. I highly recommend him for any hand surgery you may need.

Michelle is a 5+. The space is reassuring and spacious. The greeters are efficient. The wait is a little long for such a procedure.
